Had a training day in London today, just by Trafalgar Square, hence this picture taken around 9am on a showery damp summer’s morning.
I was on the road by 5.30am and drove through torrential downpours, early morning sun and that damp, drizzly rain that the wipers can barely deal with causing that irritating squeak on the windscreen.
Then it was a headlong rush onto the tube with all the commuters, jammed into trains like the clichéd sardines.
My mood wasn’t the best when I set out but was softened by good coffee and biscuits on arrival at the training centre, and what turned out to be an intimate training session with just six of us, and it was all over by just after noon, followed by a free buffet lunch. Not a terrible way to end the week overall!
